But now iPhone users have been granted a new update that is currently not available on any other version of WhatsApp.

"The feature is now only on the iOS app, and adds a new feature to the Privacy menu in users" settings.

WhatsApp users with iPhones can now add an extra layer of security on the instant messaging application. If anyone does enable the feature, they should also ensure that their notification previews have been properly set to hide sensitive content from being displayed. The feature is available to iPhone users with the WhatsApp version, 2.19.20. The option to enable Screen Lock can be found under the Privacy section. Fingerprint authentication is expected to be supported on devices running Android 6.0 and above.
