Following Bayern's fourth bid of £35million, which is believed to be Chelsea's asking price, Salihamidzic has lauded the winger and confirmed the club have a "great interest" in recruiting him.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly told Chelsea officials that he wants to leave the club this January after Bayern Munich submitted two bids for the winger, both of which were rejected.

Chelsea are willing to accept the offer - which does not include a buy-back clause per Sky Sports - should their last ditch efforts at convincing Hudson-Odoi to remain at Stamford Bridge prove unfruitful.

Hudson-Odoi has refused to discuss a new contract with Chelsea, having been offered a five-year deal last summer.

He's regarded as Chelsea's brightest young talent - and with that title, it's unsurprising that another team is trying to land him this month - even if it is Bayern Munich. He's not at a mid-table club thinking 'why am I not playing?' it's Willian, Pedro, proper players.

'He played like a player of 25 or 26 years.

"I saw him every day in training and he was really very normal". British media have reported the German champion is ready to spend 30 million pounds ($38 million) on Hudson-Odoi. "I don't think a move to Germany would be good for him", the Chelsea manager said.

"I am not in charge of these questions and I do not want to speak to a player about something that doesn't depend on me."

"We have very important players in the same position", Sarri said.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Martin Samuel has pointed out that Hudson-Odoi shouldn't wait patiently for his opportunity at Chelsea, because not one of the club's other academy prospects has ever won a regular starting place in the Roman Abramovich era.
