  • UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at their G20 meeting in Argentina on Friday Novemner 30 2018

Saudi Arabia has announced the detention of 18 nationals and vowed to probe the killing of Khashoggi, a royal confidant turned critic who was killed and dismembered when he visited the kingdom's Istanbul consulate to handle paperwork for his planned wedding.

To make matters worse, the New York-based Human Rights Watch had gotten an Argentine judge to investigate the de facto ruler of the oil-rich country over his alleged involvement in the Khashoggi murder - a hypothesis backed by a Central Intelligence Agency report - and what the group called "apparent war crimes" in Yemen. The announcement was made in the presence of the Crown Prince and the Mauritanian president. "President Putin and the Crown Prince held a rather fruitful and substantive discussion on the sidelines of the summit". "Pertinent institutions", Mr. Macri added, should discover the "truth".

Mr Corbyn said: "The Prime Minister told the media she would 'sit down and be robust" with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman - the chief architect of the brutal war in Yemen which has killed 56,000 people and brought 14 million to the brink of starvation.

In the video, which was shared widely on social media, the two are seen speaking in English.

The trip marked the highest-profile overseas junket for the crown prince since Khashoggi's murder.

We're not going to go there for a draw; we're not going there for anything else other than trying to produce a good performance and trying to win the game.

"Here, business prevails over questions of that nature", he said in an interview.

The adviser, Saud al-Qahtani, topped the list of Saudis who were targeted by US sanctions last month over their suspected involvement in Khashoggi's killing.

"I am a man of my word".

Abdulaziz received and clicked on a link sent to his phone in June 2018 that he says exposed his mobile communications to Saudi authorities.

The lawsuit says the plaintiff plans to argue that the co-operation between the two activists was "a crucial factor" in the decision to have Khashoggi killed, and that there was a direct link between the surveillance carried out on Abdulaziz and the slaying of the US -based columnist for the Washington Post. "While economics are important, our belief in universal human rights and democratic principles must never be subservient to them", he said.
