The Hindi version grossed Rs 18 crore on its second day which leads its total two days box office earning collection of Rs 38.25 crore.

After a low Friday collection, the Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 is back in the game. The film marks the return of Dr Vaseegran and Chitti and witnesses the emergence of an ever-so-powerful villain in Akshay Kumar as Pakshiraja.

Directed by S Shankar, the film also stars Amy Jackson in a pivotal role. However, things did not seem to have worked out between them and then the role eventually fell into Akshay's lap. The film, that reportedly showed record-breaking advance bookings at the ticket window, has been creating waves at the box-office.

Out of the ₹74 crore, the Hindi version of 2.0 contributed about ₹21 crore, while collections from Tamil Nadu stood at ₹20 crore.

Yes, it was being anticipated that over Rs. 25 crore may come in on Thursday since the film has released in Hindi at over 4000 screens.

If Sunday's collection gets better of Saturday even by 10 per cent, it may power the movie to Rs 250 crore (gross collection) club domestically.
