An Argentinian prosecutor has taken up the case against Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for alleged crimes against humanity, including the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The sanctions will freeze the assets of those individuals in Canada, said the country's foreign minister in a statement. "Their listing also renders them inadmissible to Canada pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act". All individuals targeted by Canada on Thursday were also sanctioned by the US earlier this month.

The two leaders, who are attending the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires, also discussed Saudi Arabia's readiness to supply India with all its needs of oil and petroleum products and Saudi oil giant Aramco's investments in the fields of oil refining and oil storage in India, SPA said.

Ms. Freeland, speaking to reporters in Argentina before a Group of 20 meeting, said these new sanctions do not bring to an end Canada's interest in the fate of Mr. Khashoggi.

Last week, France announced it had imposed sanctions, including a travel ban, on 18 Saudi citizens it says were involved in the murder of Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist who had been living in exile in the United States when he was killed inside his country's consulate in Istanbul on 2 October. U.S. intelligence officials believe the Saudi crown prince must have at least known of the plot to kill him.

"The murder of Jamal Khashoggi is abhorrent and represents an unconscionable attack on the freedom of expression of all individuals", Freeland said in a statement. "And in terms of our review of our own arms exports to Saudi Arabia", she said.

Priyanka's head over heels in love with Nick and she really feels like her palace wedding will be a magical fairytale wedding. One day earlier, Jonas teased that he was getting ready to travel somewhere, tweeting, "See you later NYC".

When asked after the briefing about the Trump administration's position on the Saudi crown prince's involvement in Khashoggi's killing, Pompeo suggested there was no conclusive evidence.

Pompeo says "I do believe I've read every piece of intelligence" that came in "and there is no direct reporting connecting the crown prince to the order to murder Jamal Khashoggi".

"The response of Canada to the Khashoggi affair is one of those instances in which we see a consensus emerging between Canada and certain European Union countries in trying to preserve the rule-based global order", she said.

The government is still calling for a "transparent and rigorous" investigation into the death of the columnist.

Seventeen Saudi nationals have been rendered inadmissible to Canada. But Harnett said commissioners were outraged by Khashoggi's killing, as well as President Trump's reaction to it, and felt the need to take action on an worldwide issue.
