SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh's claims that he wasn't a problematic drinker back in his Georgetown Prep and Yale days continue to unravel after the New York Times unearthed a police report from 1985 suggesting that the then-college student incited a bar brawl in New Haven.

The New York Times obtained a police report of the incident, which took place at a local Yale bar in 1985.

British reggae band UB40 received a burst of unexpected publicity on Monday after reports surfaced that Judge Brett Kavanaugh allegedly got into an altercation at a CT bar in 1985.

The Times also noted that the event appears to have been alluded to by Chad Ludington, one of the nominee's Yale classmates.

The report says 21-year-old Dom Cozzolino told police that Kavanaugh threw ice at him for "some unknown reason". For his part, speaking to the officers, Kavanaugh did not want "to say if he threw the ice or not", the police report said. The Times' story was based on a police report about the incident. Kavanaugh has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct. Throwing ice 33 years ago, or her opinion of Judge Kavanaugh in July?

"Brett was getting tapped in and he was incredibly drunk, in a ridiculous outfit and had to come up to me and sing a silly song", she said. "I would also like to point out that going out never came before working hard and maintaining our focus on our goals".

Kavanaugh cursed, he said, and then "threw his beer at the guy".

Opposition Democrats have accused the administration of trying to limit the scope of the inquiry, amid media reports that Judge Kavanaugh's third accuser - Julie Swetnick - would not be interviewed.

He warned that as time runs out to get a Brexit deal, "companies are losing patience" and planning to relocate overseas . Longstanding EU opponents like veteran MP Dennis Skinner were unimpressed.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) asked that the FBI investigate Kavanaugh's old drinking habits, as well as several other statements by the judge that the senator believes may have been lies.

One of Kavanaugh's classmates claimed that following a UB40 concert, a group that included Kavanaugh went to a bar where they spotted a man who some in the group believed resembled a member of the band.

Earlier in the week, Swisher gave an interview to the Washington Post, after Kavanaugh denied that he drank excessively. On Monday, Donald Trump said he believed Kavanaugh's testimony when asked if he would pull the nomination, were it to be revealed Kavanaugh lied about his drinking.

Drinking as a college student is hardly unique and Ludington said he had no thought of making his story public when Kavanaugh was first nominated to the nation's highest court.

"The guy swung at Brett", Ludington continued.

Ludington has said he was willing to share his account with the FBI, which is conducting a one-week investigation in the wake of the hearing. "And if so, we'll introduce ourselves and say "great show" and maybe share a beer with him, whatever".

On Tuesday morning, the Fox & Friends crew was likewise angry that Kavanaugh was being questioned about the incident.
