Third woman comes forward with allegations against Brett Kavanaugh

  • In a statement released by Avenatti Swetnick said she witnessed efforts by Kavanaugh and Mark Judge to get teenage girls inebriated disoriented

In his tweets, Avenatti includes emails sent to Mike Davis, Chief Counsel for Nominations, United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, about having Swetnick (who is now the third woman to publicly accuse Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct) testify about the accusations.

She has alleged that Mr Kavanaugh would "drink excessively at many of these parties and engage in abusive and physically aggressive behaviour toward girls". On Saturday, he tweeted that all "indications are that Dr. Ford is not alone", a reference to Christine Ford, who says Kavanaugh attempted to rape her at party when they were in high school.

Avenatti gained a national platform after representing Stephanie Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress who was paid $130,000 to keep quiet about her sexual affair with President Donald Trump.

Kavanaugh staunchly denies ever sexually assaulting anyone, and his allies have questioned the credibility of Ford and a second accuser, Deborah Ramirez, based in part on what they say is a lack of corroboration. In it, she describes meeting Kavanaugh and Mark Judge-friends so close they were "joined at the hip"-around 1980 or 1981 at a Washington, DC, house party and interacting with the two frequently during the early '80s, including at "well over 10" house parties". And there's no corroboration of these allegations (they'll ignore that the Committee has refused to call Mark Judge).

What happens inside the aircraft cabin if pressure is not regulated
The plane, scheduled to travel from Mumbai to Jaipur, promptly turned around and returned to the airport. Kennedy International Airport, had to land at Newark instead because of multiple instrument failure.

On Wednesday, shortly after noon, The White House released this statement from Judge Kavanaugh on Swetnick's allegations: "This is ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone". Kavanaugh will testify after Ford, although at this writing it's not clear that Ford will actually show up for the hearing. Swetnick also implies that Kavanaugh and Judge participated in the assaults themselves. Another committee spokesman, Taylor Foy, said the panel received Swetnick's declaration Wednesday and "committee lawyers are in the process of reviewing it now".

None of the claimed witnesses Ford named have corroborated her story.

Swetnick says she told others about the incident at the time and knows of other witnesses who can confirm her statements.

Kavanaugh added that he made the unusual decision to do a television interview before a Senate committee votes on his nomination because he wants to clear his name and said he is "looking for a fair process, a process where I can defend my integrity and clear my name". She now holds clearances for her work with the Treasury Department, U.S. Mint and the IRS.
