  • Julie Chen quits The Talk as she stands by her disgraced hubby

As ET previously reported, Chen - who has been married to Moonves for 14 years - has stood by her husband, who previously served as chairman and CEO of CBS, amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

This was the first time Chen used her full married name in the history of the show - she's been playing host to "Big Brother" for 18 years.

"I'm Julie Chen Moonves".

Earlier this week Chen chose not to fill her regular spot as a panelist on The Talk in the aftermath of her husband's departure, opting for the solo gig on the reality program instead.

Sarri says City and Liverpool are leading the race for EPL title
I don't know (the chances) he told me other things, he told me he wants to play but I don't know, I have to speak to him again. I think so, but I hope not. "I just want to do my best for this club, which has done a lot for me".

Chen, 48, who has been with the series since its 2009 inception, alongside original co-hosts Sara Gilbert and Sharon Osbourne, was a no-show for the daytime chat show's season premiere September 10, one day after her husband, CBS CEO Leslie Moonves, was sacked following sexual harassment allegations and a corporate battle with majority shareholder Shari Redstone. On the show, her fellow co-hosts reacted to the news.

Julie will reportedly continue her duties as the host of Big Brother. A source told the publication that while it's unclear whether it was her decision or not to step down from the show, they "wouldn't be surprised" if she was asked to leave. "Some of you may be aware of what's been going on in my life the past few days", she said.

"I would release a statement saying, 'I feel as though I would be too much of a distraction sitting at the table with the ladies and too much of a distraction for staff and everyone else". He's always been a kind, decent and moral human being. Leslie's a good man and loving father, a devoted husband and an inspiring corporate leader. I fully support my husband, and I stand behind him and his statement'.
