The Spurs and Raptors are reportedly finalizing a deal for Kawhi Leonard

  • Kawhi Leonard could miss out on a lot of money if he leaves the Spurs

What was expected to be a bit of a lull in the National Basketball Association offseason was flipped on its head early Wednesday morning with a report that the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors were engaged in trade talks centered around Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan.

"Told one thing and the outcome another", DeRozan said.

"It's way more likely now than it was a couple of weeks ago". If Leonard left the Raptors, he could sign a four-year, $141 million deal with a team with the available salary-cap space.

This has now been backed up by reliable Yahoo Sports NBA insider Shams Charania who has revealed that the two teams are now in "serious trade talks". That does not seem to bother Toronto and a deal could be finalized as soon as Wednesday, league sources told the website.

Antonio Conte's managerial stint with Chelsea comes to an end
Conte has managed Chelsea for the last two seasons, winning a Premier League title and an FA Cup in his time there. Conte took pre-season training this week but ex-Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri expected to take over.

As examples, no Blazers package includes Damian Lillard or C.J. McCollum, league sources said.

It is almost certain additional players are involved on both sides, though it is unclear they will be.

As well as the 76ers and Lakers, the Boston Celtics and LA Clippers were among the suitors for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

DeRozan's inclusion in a deal is hard, and DeRozan himself has been made aware of it.

Assuming Leonard intends to only play in Toronto one season, is it worth it for the Raptors to go all-in to acquire him? The 2014 NBA Finals MVP then met with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich on June 19 and informed him that his stance had not changed, league sources said, and Leonard had long eyed Los Angeles as his next destination via free agency in 2019.
