The team responsible for Fallout New Vegas has intervened on Twitter to clarify that it is not absolutely involved in the development of the New Fallout game, Obsidian is not collaborating with Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios to create a new Fallout.

The publisher teased a Fallout announcement in a tweet yesterday but aside from rampant speculation from fans, we had no idea what to expect from the next game. You can check out the trailer for yourself above!

So while that trailer doesn't tell us very much about the game it does reveal a few things. Vault 76 has been mentioned in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 as one of the 17 planned vaults.

This vault is meant to be a "control vault" against which many experiments conducted in the other vaults can be measured.

The vault was created to open 20 years after a nuclear war, and was among the seventeen known control vaults, meaning that it was used as a baseline to compare to experimental vaults.

Manafort continues to fight charges of laundering millions of dollars and was recently accused of trying to fix witness testimony. Besides the president or his family, there is perhaps no bigger fish in the Russian Federation investigation than Manafort.

But developer Bethesda will reveal more details about the game during its E3 presentation in June.

Fallout 76 is being developed by Bethesda Game Studios for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

We previously suggested some kind of Fallout: New Vegas type of sequel or something set outside the USA in the same world, and the colour-infused nature of the GIF suggests a familiarity, so who knows?
